Many homes already benefit from Digital TV by using a Freeview box or by using a modern TV with a built in Digital box. The complete swtich to digital from analogue will be taking place at various dates over the next six years.

While the switch is imminent for homes in Cumbria, people in London will not have their signal turned off until 2012 and the Channel Islands will be the last region to go, in 2013.
